September - October:
LIVE TOGETHER, Greg and Steve/ THE MORE WE GET TOGETHER,  Raffi

The Focus will be on the child, their peers, school, and family. How to make friends, how to be a friend, school and classroom rules, and safety issues will be discussed. We’ll work, play and learn together! Let’s share cultures and traditions from our families and around the world.
We’ll have a visit from the Davis Firefighters during the month of October.

October - November:

Our Focus will be on Growth and Change in ourselves and in nature.
During the Fall Season we’ll also explore colors and shapes.
Special Days: a fieldtrip to a pumpkin patch, AM & PM class Thursday October 11, 2007,
 & Halloween parade, Wednesday October 31, 2007

December:

Sharing of cultures and traditions from around the world and in our own families.
Special Day: a fieldtrip to a Tree Farm. (Thursday, December 6, 2007)
Focus on spatial concepts, in, up, behind, etc.

January: MONTHS OF THE YEAR , Raffi /CHICKEN SOUP WITH RICE, Carole King

This month we’ll introduce the calendar; the days of the week, names of the months, names of seasons and other related concepts. We’ll also explore temperature; water, snow. Who are those animals that live in the snow?

February - March:

Let’s learn about our community helpers. We’ll also focus on what it means to be a friend.

Mailing of valentine letters, AM&PM classes Tuesday February 12, 2008 & Valentine exchange AM&PM, Feb.14. Optional valentine exchange for toddlers on Monday Feb. 11 or Friday Feb.15

Our program focuses as much as possible towards the needs of each child and each specific group. Unforeseen events and needs and/or interest of the children may alter this schedule. Colors, shapes, numbers, letters, nursery rhymes, vocabulary, and other age appropriate concepts will be used throughout the year.
Only AM & PM classes take fieldtrips. We’ll try to alternate having a visitor with trips away from the school.
